There was something far more sparkly than Kate Upton's silver dress at the 2016 Met Gala on Monday!

The Sports Illustrated model got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Justin Verlander, 33, and she flashed a seriously gigantic rock as she made her way to fashion's biggest night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Apparently, the 23-year-old bride to be has been off the market for quite some time and her MLB beau proposed before the start of his season.

"I'm really excited, he asked me right before season started so we've been keeping it on the down low for quite a while," she told E! News exclusively. "So I'm excited to finally be able to share it with the world!"

But don't expect Kate to go running down the aisle just yet. She revealed she's just "enjoying the engagement period."

Upton and her main squeeze have been dating for over three years and she gushed that he designed the sparkler himself. It appears to be a massive diamond solitaire with a pave band.

Naturally, it was the perfect accessory for her Met Gala look, which consisted of a silver, sparkling, sequined gown with a unique one shoulder accent and a long train. She polished off her look with a set of gold pumps and bombshell waves.
