Mother's Day spotlight: Britney Spears
Britney Spears has been a living pop legend since the moment "...Baby One More Time" debuted back in 1998, but she has achieved a totally different kind of mastery over the past decade: She's become a legendary mother.
The 34-year-old singer has two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston (age 10) and Jayden James (age 9), and they're pretty much the most adorable little boys you've ever seen!

With birthdays just two days apart -- Sean was born on September 14, 2005 and Jayden was born on September 12, 2006 -- Britney's Boys were destined to be a close twosome. The two share a love of skateboarding, deejaying (they had a joint DJ-themed birthday party last year) and being totally goofy with their mom.
Ever since taking charge of her Instagram account last year, Spears has frequently posted photos and videos of them together and having a total blast being silly. We put together some of our favorite mother-son moments in the gallery below:
It wasn't always clear to the public that Spears was a capable, loving mother, though: In the boys' early years, which fell during the "Toxic" hitmaker's heavily-documented public meltdown, the star was accused of being a reckless mother after being photographed with her older son, Sean, in one hand while driving a car with the other.
After refusing to hand over her children to Federline's representatives in January of 2008, Spears was hospitalized and stripped of custody and visitation rights with her children.
Ultimately, though, Spears rebounded from her troubles in a huge way and rededicated herself to her family and her career, ultimately gaining back joint custody of her adorable children. Since then, Spears has seemed happier and more relaxed, displaying her playful side that made people fall in love with her at the beginning of her career.
In recent years, in addition to hanging out with her sons all the time, Spears has also brought them to a handful of public events, including the 2013 premiere of "The Smurfs 2" and the 2015 Teen Choice Awards.
Britney Spears is one of our favorite celebrity mothers for constantly showing how much she loves her two little boys and not being afraid of showing off her true, goofy self. Judging by how much her sons laugh with (and at) her in the videos she posts online, Sean and Jayden are just as in love with their mom as we are.
