British woman is to become the first 100-year-old model to appear in Vogue
LONDON — A 100-year-old British woman is to become the first ever woman of her age to appear in Vogue.
Model Bo Gilbert will be appearing in British department store Harvey Nichols' fashion campaign in the centenary issue of the magazine, which will go on sale on Thursday 5th May.

Gilbert — who lives in an assisted living facility in Birmingham — wore bespoke Valentino glasses, a Victoria Beckham top, a Dries Van Noten coat, shoes by Céline, a Lanvin necklace and trousers by The Row for her first ever campaign shoot.
The centenarian was photographed by fashion photographer Phil Poynter for the campaign, which will feature exclusively in the centenary issue, accompanied by a documentary film directed by Kell Stewart.

The campaign, which aims to highlight ageism in the fashion industry, also celebrates Vogue's 100th anniversary.
"I do things that I think a lot of people wouldn't do at my age," says Gilbert in the accompanying YouTube video.
"I just suit myself. I certainly don't dress up for boys," she continued.
