Once someone told Jack Howard he wasn't funny. Now, the Brit is laughing all the way to the bank as a full-time comedian on social media.
The filmmaker boasts 397K subscribers on YouTube, 306K followers on Instagram and 259K on Twitter. He also makes up half of the YouTube comedy duo "Jack and Dean," which has more than 500K subscribers.
Howard was at Playlist Live this past weekend in Orlando, Florida to meet those followers. Playlist Live is an annual convention for YouTube influencers and their fans. And these fans take the convention seriously.
Lines at Playlist Live are no joke:
But Howard had some surprising advice for anyone who wants to follow in his footsteps.
"Don't try to make it big on social media," he told AOL.com at Playlist Live.
"If that's your goal, you may get there, but ultimately, it's a shallow goal," he added.
