11 Disney Channel Stars Then and Now

There were many Disney Channel original movies that were on point. From "Halloweentown" to "Smart House" and pretty much everything in between, we were graced by the TV gods with such amazing programming in the early and mid 2000's.

However, there was one that seemed to be way ahead of it's time, championing feminism, and simply stating, girls could do anything guys can do. Remember "Motocrossed"?

"Motocrossed" tells the story of young girl, Andrea Carson who poses as a young boy, 'Andi,' in order to participate in a motocross race after her brother injures himself. Talk about sibling love right there!

For those who don't remember, here are a few pics to one of the best Disney Channel OG movies out there.

Enough throw back for you? Well we did some digging and were able to find some recent photos of Andi, aka Alana Austin and they probably will not surprise you.

To say it was tough finding a photo of Austin would be a complete understatement. This one, from her Twitter, seems to be the only recent one we found. She's had quite the early career, making guest appearances on shows like "7th Heaven," "Sister Sister," and "Cold Case." She's also starred in a few movies like "Road Rage" and "Hansel and Gretel."

We do know however, she has retired from acting to pursue a different calling: medicine. According to her Wikipedia, Austin studied medicine at University of Southern California.

NEW YORK, NY - DECEMBER 7: A little girl plays with her 'slap wrap bracelets' December 7, 1990 in New York City. The bracelets are made of flexible stainless steel sealed with a fabric or plastic cover. The bracelet can be straightened out, making tension within the springy metal bands. The straightened bracelet is then slapped against the wearer's forearm, causing the bands to spring back into a curve that wraps around the wrist, securing the bracelet to the wearer.
