Captured by Matt Coakley of Blue Mantle Media, the clip shows a beautiful purple-tinted sunset in Hanford, California that slowly but surely, turns into a full-blown lightening storm.

Staying true to the 'Purple Rain' singer's favorite hue, the skies then go from lavender to a deep, royal purple illuminated by spurts of lightening.

Break out the vinyl, press play on the video above, and celebrate all that was the life of His Royal Badness.
