Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump may have let a big name endorsement slip during his rally in Bridgeport, Connecticut on Saturday.
"I wanna get Bobby Knight to endorse me in Indiana," the GOP candidate first stated in front of the thousands in attendance at Klein Memorial Auditorium. "I love Bobby Knight," Trump continued. "The truth is he did endorse me." "We are gonna have Bobby Knight in Indiana in a week."
While Knight himself has yet to comment, an endorsement from the former Indiana basketball head coach, who infamously tossed a chair across the court during a game, could serve as a boost for Trump as he heads into the Indiana primary on May 3.

At a separate campaign event in Waterbury, Conn. earlier on Saturday, Trump elaborated on receiving an endorsement from Knight, calling him "tough, strong, smart." Trump would go on to say, "I would like to get that for Indiana, I'll tell you what. To me, that would be a great endorsement."
The backing of Knight would be another major celebrity get for the billionaire businessman. Trump recently picked up the backing of actress Kirstie Alley.
