Teen returns Chris Hemsworth's wallet, gets huge reward
WGN -- A local teen from Rockford, Ill., found and returned "The Avengers" actor Chris Hemsworth's wallet. His reward? Big money from Thor himself!
Tristin Budzyn Barker, 17, discovered Hemsworth's wallet in an airport and returned it once he realized whose wallet it actually was.
The Illinois native and Boy Scout was flown out to Los Angeles and invited to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to meet Hemsworth. While he was there, Hemsworth rewarded the teen on the show with the $1,000 cash from the wallet, a letter of recommendation for his Eagle Scout badge and a $10,000 reward from DeGeneres.
"I expected it was going to be empty and all the cash was in there. So, I wanted to give you the cash as a little gift," Hemsworth said.
"It's empty now!" Budzyn jokingly replied.
Budzyn told WGN's Robin Baumgarten and Larry Potash that he's going to use the money to help pay for his college education.
Proof that being a good person pays off. Literally!
