The Duchess of Cambridge joined her husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry to welcome President Obama and the First Lady to Kensington Palace this evening for dinner. It's been an eventful, whirlwind day for Mr. and Mrs. Obama, first having lunch with the Queen and Prince Philip, and then a meeting with David Cameron before a glamorous dinner with the royal trio.

Kate chose a gorgeous silk dress by LK Bennett, the Addison Printed Silk Dress, for the occasion. Speckled in gorgeous jewel tones, the dress retails for $545 and is still available in most sizes. (For now!)

The long-sleeved dress is true to some of Kate's favorite styles of late -- a length that passes her knee and sheer elements throughout. She paired it with a long necklace and navy pumps.

Michelle Obama looked equally glamorous, wearing a nude long-sleeved dress with a lace skirt. She paired the look with a camel-colored coat to brave the rain.

Prince George was standing in the hall waiting to meet Michelle and Barack Obama when they arrived. Just before they got there, he was playing with a stuffed animal that the Obamas gave to him. (You can see it in the tweets below, quite reminiscent of the First Family's two pups, isn't it?) How sweet!

And drumroll please ... photos just released of George meeting the Obamas -- in his adorable little bathrobe! He thanked them for his rocking horse they gifted the family when he was born. See below for all of the cuteness!
