George Clooney opens up about Amal: 'I found the love of my life'

Sorry ladies, George Clooney has definitely left his playboy days behind.

"At 52 I found the love of my life," the Oscar-winning actor gushed in an interview with Esquire.

But the famed actor didn't stop there.

"I've never been happier in a relationship by any stretch of the imagination," he said of his marriage to the 38-year-old human rights lawyer.

And as if it couldn't get any cuter, Clooney dropped a major truth bomb about their relationship:

"Oftentimes, I feel like an idiot talking to my own wife."

The hunky actor's adorable admission comes as a surprise given that he has chosen to remain mum about his romantic life for most of his career. Clooney, once dubbed the world's most eligible bachelor, has been previously linked to Hollywood actresses like Renee Zellweger and Kelly Preston.

The charming serial dater's long list of romances had many doubting whether he would ever settle down ... until Amal came along.

George and Amal tied the knot in 2014 in an intimate ceremony in Italy surrounded by their closest family and friends. Several A-listers, like Cindy Crawford and Matt Damon, were in attendance as well.

And while Amal and George are serious #CoupleGoals, she better watch her back because there's one person her husband also couldn't stop raving about: President Barack Obama.

The devoted husband called the nation's commander-in-chief "deeply funny" and a "good basketball player."
