If you haven't already heard, Tortuga Music Festival took place this weekend in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and featured performances for some of the biggest country music stars around.
AOL.com got a chance to speak with Cole at Tortuga and you can see her full interview about her emotional connection to country music, and more, right here.
Cole got her start in country music when she joined Black River Entertainment as an employee, but things really kicked off for her when she joined CMT's "The Next Superstar" in 2011. In September 2015 Cole released her self-titled EP.
