Bar Offers to Help Women Escape Bad Tinder Dates

Is there anything worse than a bad date? Escaping the situation seems rude, but staying put seems like an even worse solution.

As the prevalence of online dating and Tinder has grown, so has the risk of finding yourself across the table from someone who you really don't know anything about.

One bar in the UK got the memo and realized a way they could help. Posted on the wall of the women's bathroom, a sign offers a solution to "Tinder date gone wrong." It reads, "Doesn't look like his picture, or just plain weird? If you're on a date and it's not going well, come to the bar and ask for Rachelle or Jennifer and we'll get you out of it and/or get you a taxi."

As if the bar is 'How To Be a Millionaire' and the bartender is your lifeline, the sign goes on to explain that their staff is eager to provide assistance to those in need.

The bar, named The Brickyard in St Albans, has been getting a lot of attention for its ingenious sign after the post was uploaded by an anonymous user.

According to Metro UK, staff at the bar commented on the recent hype, saying, "A sign that was designed purely for the safety of our female customers has caught the eyes of thousands (all genders!) and you have all touched our hearts with your support, so thank you for this."

They continued, stating, "In all honesty, we had no idea our sign would attract this level of attention but in light of the extent of the feedback received we have plans in place already to launch a similar safety campaign for men."

Cheers to The Brickyard, and here's to hoping other bars take note of this ingenious dating hack.
