Saying "please and thank you" can go a long way in life. And when one mother's children failed to use their manners she decided to teach them a hard lesson.

Jaime Primak Sullivan, star of the reality TV show "Jersey Belle," took her three kids to Dairy Queen for a special treat after dinner.

After the kids, ages 5, 7 and 8, received their ice cream Sullivan noticed one shocking thing -- not one of them bothered to say thanks to the employee who served them or to her.

The reality star counted to ten and then did what her children probably thought was the unthinkable ...

She calmly collected their desserts and threw them into the trash. After several moments of hysteria, she explained to them the importance of treating people kindly and showing gratitude.

Sullivan took to Facebook to share the tough love moment in a post that has since gone viral with many parents and restaurant workers applauding her parenting skills.
