It appears that one of the next potential leaders of the free world accidentally mixed up the worst terrorist attack in American history with a popular 24-hour convenience store in a speech, and it's fueling a social media firestorm.

Though 7-Eleven stores and the company's workers provide a valuable service to many New Yorkers on a daily basis, Donald Trump inadvertently gave them the ultimate praise on Monday when accidentally referenced the business during a speech he gave in Buffalo.

%shareLinks-quote="It's very close to my heart because I was down there and I watched our police and our firemen down on 7/11, down at the World Trade Center, right after it came down, and I saw the greatest people I've ever seen in action." type="quote" author="Donald Trump" authordesc="7-Eleven enthusiast" isquoteoftheday="false"%

Though he clearly meant to say 9/11 instead of referencing the best place to pick up cheap beer and nostalgia candy, Trump did not immediately correct his mistake.

Still, it seems as though the internet does not plan to let him forget this slip of the tongue.
