SEATTLE (KCPQ) -- Human remains were discovered Friday morning in the area where the body parts of a murdered Renton woman were found last week in Seattle's Central District.

Police at the scene would not immediately confirm if the remains were those of Ingrid Lyne, a 40-year-old nurse and mother of three, but said they were investigating the "probable connection."

An area in the 900 block of 20th Avenue was blocked off with yellow police tape. There are garbage and recycling bins and a recycling truck inside the blocked off area.

Police were searching through other bins in the neighborhood for any other remains.

Officers will canvass the area again and take several garbage trucks to a secure location to search through their contents.

Authorities say a man dismembered Lyne in her Renton home before driving several of her body parts to Seattle, where they were found in garbage bags in a recycling bin.

Seattle police arrested John Robert Charlton on Monday. On Tuesday, a King County judge ordered Charlton held on $2 million bail. Prosecutors charged him with first-degree murder on Wednesday.

Charlton has a criminal history. His parents feared him and sought a restraining order against him in Utah in 2006, but later had it dismissed.

Charlton's public defender Gordon Hill has said no forensic evidence links Charlton to the crime.
