For anyone who has avoided stand-up paddle boarding because they're afraid of falling, this new board may just be the answer you're looking for. Behold, the stand-up pedal board!

Surf company Hobie recently unveiled its brand new board, the Mirage Eclipse, which may just be a total game-changer this summer.

Instead of balancing on a stand-up board and paddling with your arms, you hold onto handlebars and step down on pedals, which are attached to fins underneath the board that propel you forward. And instead of having to reach out and paddle wide to make turns, you simply squeeze levers on the handlebars -- no risky, wobbling needed.

But you don't have to hold onto the handlebars the whole time either. The watercraft was especially designed to allow you to, "wave at friends, point a camera, or cast a fishing rod," according to Hobie.

Fair warning though, this awesome new sport isn't cheap. The company sells two models, which sell for $2,499 and $2,599 ... so maybe we'll just wait for the rental shops to get in on the trend.
