Chimp dances on power lines in daring escape from Japanese zoo
A chimpanzee's escape from a city zoo has got Japanese social media buzzing.
According to local news reports, the primate escaped in the early afternoon on Thursday from Yagiyama zoo in Sendai city, Japan.
Kyodo reports that the male chimpanzee, named Chacha, was loose in a residential area in the northeastern city.
During his two hours of freedom, the monkey scaled utility poles and danced on power lines as he avoided capture.

He also screamed at officials trying to get him down.
Residents in the estate also captured footage of him.
After being shot with a tranquiliser dart, Chacha eventually fell from his post into a net held by officials waiting on the ground.
Here's a video shot by one of the residents from an apartment block nearby, which shows Chacha trying to hang on in vain as the tranquiliser's effects kick in.
