Oh, Dolly!

That's the name of Miss Parton, all-around music legend, on one of the totes launched by Reese Witherspoon's Draper James fashion and lifestyle line.

How did this come about, you ask? Witherspoon reached out to Parton. That's straight from the source: Draper James design director Frederic Tremblay. (See an interview about "Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors" above).

"She lives in Nashville, not to far from the store. Reese knows her," says Tremblay. "She was the sweetest in her reply. She was like, 'Yes.' Dolly emails. She does. She wrote a very nice one."

As for Witherspoon, she's the real deal.

"She's great, She's just what you would expect: super-positive, really creative. She knows a lot about clothes. She's funny. And she's really involved," says Tremblay. "She wears clothes and she wears them well."

So what's ahead for the line? "Tweed is something we always do. We do all of our prints in-house. A lot of botanicals, always. This fall, we started to think about rockabilly girls and women in music," says Tremblay. "Dolly is timeless."
