New website will tell you if your partner is cheating via Tinder

If you're in a committed relationship and just want a little reassurance that your partner isn't tip-toeing around on dating apps, then lucky for you, a new website has popped up to lend a helping hand.

For the low, low price of $4.99, Swipe Buster, the appropriately-titled "digital spy," can sift through Tinder's public records to find out if your significant other has been using the hookup app.

The process is unbelievably simple. "Busters" fill out who they want to monitor (name, age, and gender), where they last likely used the app, and Ta-Da, the site pulls up corresponding data from Tinder's A.P.I., which holds all of this information about its users.

While the concept seems a bit skeevy, the site's creator recently spoke with Vanity Fair, claiming that the original goal behind Swipe Buster was not to catch cheaters, but rather to inform the public just how easy it is for others to access their personal information.

"There is too much data about people that people themselves don't know is available," he said. "Not only are people oversharing and putting out a lot of information about themselves, but companies are also not doing enough to let people know they're doing it."

While the site might have been made with the best intentions, it seems as though social media users are on the fence about the morality of it all.
