Here Are The World's Busiest Airports

The Airports Council International, based in Montreal, has announced which of the world's airports were the most bustling in 2015.

For the 19th year in a row, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport claimed the number 1 spot.

Last year, more than 100 million travelers passed through its terminals and concourses, a 5.1% increase over 2014.

The Beijing Capital International Airport also saw more traffic, up 4.4% to roughly 90 million passengers, landing it in 2nd place.

Dubai International Airport was at 6th last year, but its 11% increase in 2015 catapulted it to 3rd this time around.

4th and 5th go to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and Japan's Tokyo Haneda Airport, respectively. London's Heathrow Airport comes in at number 6 and Los Angeles International Airport at 7.

Rounding out the top 10 are, in order, Hong Kong International Airport, Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

In compiling its rankings, the Airports Council International reviewed data of over 1,100 facilities.
