The same day his album debuted atop the Billboard 200, Zayn performed live at iHeartRadio Music Awards.

First off, Zendaya gave Zayn a rousing introduction, pointing out how he'd joined the ranks of Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé, in posting a solo No. 1 after leaving a highly successful group. But Zayn wasn't there to perform "Pillowtalk." Instead, it was the dance number "Like I Would."

Zayn came out into the stage at the center of the crowd, and got the Forum moving with a confident vocal performance. Lights spun from the ceiling as the former One Direction member and his backing band grooved along. Zayn put an exclamation point on his performance with a high-pitched vocal run to ride out the final notes.

Previously, Billboard announced that Zayn's debut album Mind of Mine debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Arriving through RCA Records, the set earned 157,000 equivalent album units in the week ending March 31 in the U.S. Of that total, it sold 112,000 in pure album sales. The feat made Zayn the only male U.K. solo artist to debut at number one with their first album.

On the singles side, "Pillowtalk" currently sits at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
