Terrell Watson is a running back on the Cleveland Browns. In many ways, being on the Browns can probably be very depressing. But earlier this week, Watson shared some really upsetting non-football news: His dog, Koda, had passed away.

It's very upsetting, but Watson seems to have handled it in an extremely uplifting way. After saying that his home was now too quiet without Koda around, Watson decided to save another dog's life by way of adoption.

And the ensuing photo proves how happy the new pair is together.

Here's Watson's caption:

"I woke up this morning and my apartment was to quiet and there was no one to wake me up this morning having to go to the bathroom. So today I went to @clevelandpitties and adopted this loving, playful boy, joyful boy! Meet Dexter my new best friend. #ithinkheishappy#fullheart"

What's cuter than a man and his dog? Especially when that dog has just been rescued into a new home?
