It's the end of an era. Kate Moss is parting ways with Storm Models, the agency that discovered her at age 14.

According to Vogue U.K., which first reported the news, the split was mutual -; a conscious uncoupling of sorts.

"After a successful 28-year relationship, Kate is moving her business in-house, and we will continue to maintain an active involvement in our on-going deals for her," said the agency in a statement.

The 42-year-old, who is still very much active in the industry (most recently, she was named the face of luxury beauty brand Decorte) will now represent herself, only working with agency on an ad-hoc basis.

Storm Model Management founder Sarah Doukas discovered Moss at JFK airport in 1990. Not long after, the Brit's career took off, and she became the poster child of the "heroin chic" look of the '90s.

The London-based agency still has a full roster, including Moss's 18-year-old half-sister Lottie, as well as Jourdan Dunn, Anna Ewers, Behati Prinsloo, Toni Garrn and Poppy Delevingne. Cara Delevingne also launched her career with Storm Models before parting ways with the agency last year to focus on her mental health and to pursue acting.

Storm Model Management did not immediately respond to Pret-a-Reporter's request for comment.
