Jeffrey Dahmer's Childhood Home Available for Rent During Republican National Convention

AKRON (WJW) -- If you're looking for a rental during the Republican National Convention, a very unique option is available.

Jeffrey Dahmer's childhood home, at 4480 West Bath Road in Akron, is available for just $8,000.

The home is listed through the Howard Hanna Rental Search page by realtor Julie Domenick.

Her description of the home is brief, but straight to the point.

Mid-century modern home with a true park-like setting. Smoking and animals okay. This is Jeffrey Dahmer's childhood home. Close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Montrose shopping. Easy access to I-77 highway.

The home was up for sale back in 2012, but never sold. It was listed again in April 2014.

Dahmer moved into the home with his parents when he was only 8.

He killed and dismembered 18-year-old Steven Mark Hicks shortly after he graduated from Revere High School.

Dahmer later moved to Wisconsin, where he killed most of his 17 victims over a time span of 13 years.

The home was last sold in 2005 to a musician.
