The Golden State Warriors have posted a historic season, but center Festus Ezeli hasn't been able to contribute much to it. He's played in just 40 games this year due to injury, and his contract is set to expire at the end of this season.

Theoretically, if Golden State wanted to bring on one more healthy player for their playoff run, they could cut the injury-plagued Ezeli to make the roster space -- especially if they don't expect to pay him a lucrative deal this summer.

It's incredibly unlikely, but possible. Possible enough that a few Warriors players, led by Andre Iguodala, convinced Ezeli that he'd been cut as an April Fools' prank.

After getting a Lyft driver and several teammates in on the gag, it seemed that Ezeli was legitimately convinced he was a goner.

That's what Iguodala emerged, ran to Ezeli's car door and greeted him with a smile and a cake -- a cake that he would eventually wear after Ezeli hurled it at him.

All in good fun before April Fools' Day -- particularly when your team is 68-7.
