Julian Edelman has an Xbox game from Blockbuster that's 12 years past due
Let's be real: Everybody stretched their Blockbuster rental dates a little every now and then. It's an issue we haven't had to worry about for a while, but it was something we had to worry about for a long, long time. In fact, it's been so long that maybe, just maybe, you still have one or two rentals laying around the house somewhere.
Like Julian Edelman!

Of course, Blockbuster has largely disappeared from the national conversation after closing most of its stores since the rise of Netflix. But Edelman better be careful -- there are still roughly 50 Blockbusters open in the U.S, but mostly in Texas and Alaska.
So it seems the only chance Blockbuster has at reclaiming 12 years of late fees is through legal action -- and before you laugh it off, it happened just this week.
