College student eats nothing but microwave pizza and stays in to pay off his grandparents' $15K mortgage
Your family has likely made a lot of sacrifices to make your life pleasant, like missing out on fun nights with friends, skimping out on shopping sprees to pay for groceries and acting like your maid when your room was a disaster (thanks, Mom!).
Now, a young man named Stefun Darts has repaid the favor -- and he'd been waiting nearly all his life to do it.
For years, he's been eating nothing but microwave pizza and staying in just so he could repay his grandparents for all they've done for him with $15,000 and a little extra for vacation.
The full-time college student says he made a promise to himself in second grade to pay off his grandparents' home. They were on track to do it themselves, it just would have taken another four years, so the young man said no to partying with friends and staying out late just to save up and fulfill his promise.
After all that time, he crashed open his piggy bank and cashed in -- and wrote his grandparents a check.
In addition to college, Darts also holds down a full-time job and runs two non-profits.
