The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's office confirms to ET that hypothermia was the cause of country singer Craig Strickland's death after he embarked on a hunting trip in Kaw Lake this past December. His friend, Chase Morland, also died during the excursion.
Strickland was found dead on Jan. 4 after he was reported missing on Dec. 27. Strickland's body was recovered in a "thick tree and brush" that made it difficult to locate him because of the camouflage hunting gear he was wearing.
The 29-year-old musician's death was ruled accidental by the medical examiner.
