Man Accused Of Stealing BMW He Attempted To Buy With Food Stamp Card

A Florida man decided to take matters in his own hands after a car dealership in Pompano Beach refused to accept his food stamp card as a form of payment.

According to a Facebook post by the Martin County Sheriff's Office, Nicholas Jackson, age 36, was turned down after trying "to buy a $60,000 BMW with a credit card and his EBT card."

In fact, the manager said that he tried multiple times to make the purchase but was denied in each instance.

So when the business was burglarized soon after and that very car was missing along with 60 sets of keys, he immediately thought of Jackson.

The Sheriff's Office reports that the man was ultimately found on the road after running out of gas.

Eventually, investigators were able to collect enough evidence to tie him to the theft at the car dealership, and he later admitted to the crime.

Jackson now faces a grand theft auto charge.
