Tim Howard announces his return to MLS
Veteran soccer goalkeeper and U.S. Men's National Team star Tim Howard has officially announced his return to the MLS.
The 37-year-old left the MetroStars MLS in 2003 for Manchester United of the English Premier League, and has been a member of Everton since the 2007 season.
Howard revealed that he is joining the Colorado Rapids via UNINTERRUPTED on the go90 app, and while he's returning to likely finish his professional career in his home country, he noted that Everton will always hold a place in his heart.
"I've played over 400 games for Everton and it truly has become my club," Howard said. "It's a club that I've bled for, that I've sacrificed for and in turn has given me all of that.
"It's hard to express in such a short period of time the raw emotion that goes into a decision such as this one."
