Police Say Man Hijacked Toronto Bus, Demanded To Be Taken To Tim Hortons

Tim Hortons is loved by many, but one fan's extreme means of getting to an outpost resulted in his arrest.

According to authorities, a man boarded a Toronto bus in the early hours of Friday and held the driver at knifepoint.

He ordered the operator to keep the vehicle moving ahead, sometimes demanding red lights be skipped.

The hijacker finally got off the bus when the driver pulled into a Tim Hortons parking lot.

A source told the Toronto Sun that when police arrived at the scene, the knife-wielding passenger was inside the restaurant drinking a cup of coffee.

The accused is facing a number of charges including assault with a weapon, taking a motor vehicle without consent, and forcible confinement.

The driver was reportedly shaken but otherwise unharmed.
