Hulk Hogan trial: Heather Clem testifies about sex with wrestling legend

The $100 million trial pitting Hulk Hogan against Gawker continued on Wednesday, with the court hearing testimony from Heather Clem about her sexual encounter with the wrestling legend.

A Florida court heard a taped deposition in which Heather Clem — the ex-wife of radio shock jock Todd "Bubba the Love Sponge" Clem — said she wasn't aware that a sexual encounter with Hogan in a bedroom of the couple's household was being recorded, the New York Daily News reports.

"I was asked to go to Mr. Bollea's room by my husband, and I did," she testified, referring to the wrestler by his real name, Terry Bollea.

Clem did say, however, that her ex-husband enjoyed recording her having sex with other men.

In the taped deposition, Clem also contradicted Hogan's earlier testimony that he only broke down and agreed to have sex with him in a moment of vulnerability following his split from wife Linda, and after being hounded by the couple.

Clem also said that she was angry when she discovered that the encounter had been taped and told her husband to destroy the video. She testified that she believed he had done so, until Gawker published a portion of the tape in 2012.

Hogan is suing Gawker for $100 million, contending that the media company violated his privacy. Gawker counters that its publishing of the footage in 2012 is protected by the First Amendment.
