Love is most definitely in the air!

Ben Higgins, who is "happily no longer the Bachelor," revealed on AOL Build on Tuesday the exact moment that he knew Lauren Bushnell was The One.

"It was at the second cocktail party, and she walked around the corner," he said with a big smile. "I was talking to Lace at the time, but [Lauren and I] made eye contact and everything stopped. My world was totally different in that moment. She would've laughed, but I wanted to go up and kiss her. It was this moment of calm. She was smiling, and she was there."

The swoon-worthy reveal comes after weeks of discussion surrounding Higgins' controversial decision to break the rules of "The Bachelor" and tell two women -- Bushnell and runner-up JoJo Fletcher -- that he loved them. That decision, which sent Bachelor Nation into a tizzy, is one that Higgins stands wholeheartedly by because it helped him make sense of his true feelings.

"I don't regret it," Higgins said of the move. "Was it the best decision to express it? It's hard to say, but it led to me Lauren in the end. I'd be really surprised in the history of the show if no other Bachelor or Bachelorette hadn't felt those strong feelings for more than one person. But it happened for me, and I had to express it. When it got to the point where I was having those feelings, I said them. Not everyone loved that, but it led me here, and that's all I could ask for."

For her part, Bushnell, who admits that she "couldn't fully understand what it was that he went through," was equally as resolute about her feelings. So much so that she doesn't think she even needs to watch the show-stopping finale.

"I haven't watched the whole thing -- I don't even know if I'm going to," she revealed. "What's the sense in reliving something that happened weeks ago?"

As for their wedding, it was clear that the couple hadn't given it much thought; after all, their months-long romance only just became public this week. After the media mayhem dies down, they'll switch their focus to their nuptials.

"We don't want to push back a wedding," Higgins gushed. "We want to get married, and we want to do it soon -- like late 2016 or very early 2017. Your friends and family don't get to be a part of it leading up to the engagement, and we want them to be there to celebrate with us. We want to get it right."

Mostly, though, Ben and Lauren are looking forward to going back to their "normal lives." Bushnell revealed that she'll move to Denver and (most likely) continue her job as a flight attendant. Higgins, for his part, isn't sure about his software job, though he's resolute that he won't be joining "Dancing With The Stars" anytime soon a la former Bachelor Chris Soules.

For now, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are enjoying the attention and the opportunity to finally publicize their head-over-heels infatuation with one another. Perhaps the sweetest revelation of the day came from Ben, who revealed that heading into their day full of interviews and overwhelming support, he turned to his new fiancé and told her that it was all going to be okay.

"You're going to feel so loved," he told her.

And, boy, is she ever.
