Adam Lambert to perform new song on 'American Idol'

Just in time for his St. Patrick's Day performance on AmericanIdol, AdamLambert teased a new song, "Welcome to the Show," set to drop on the same day.

The anthem kicks off in dramatic fashion, with Lambert declaring, "I'm going to let them stare/they feel like me out there/so welcome to the show." Lambert will perform the new track on the March 17 broadcast of Idol, airing at 8 p.m. on Fox.

Prior to the release, he teased the song on Instagram.

The song features Swedish vocalist, Laleh, co-writer of Demi Lovato'scurrent single, "Stone Cold." Leleh has another big Idol connection, having written two songs for Season 9 alum ToriKelly's Unbreakable Smile CD. The track was also produced by Ali Payami, who worked with Lambert on the hit, "Ghost Town."

Lambert is currently on tour promoting his album, TheOriginalHigh.
