NFL rumors: 3 teams interested in Colin Kaepernick
San Francisco is trying to start over once again, and the future does not appear to include quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The mobile youngster is on the record saying that he does want to be part of the Chip Kelly regime, and general manager Trent Baalke is looking to make a trade.
According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, there are three teams interested in trading for Kaepernick, including the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns and New York Jets.

Kaepernick's contract has five years remaining and just shy of $100 million. His current cap hit is $15.890 million this season before going up to $19 million each of the next three years, and then being $21 million in the final campaign. At 28 years old, he's an interesting yet risky option after throwing for 1,615 yards and six touchdowns with five interceptions in nine games. He was then benched for Blaine Gabbert.
Cleveland would make the least sense, considering it holds the No. 2 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and can actually draft a true franchise quarterback. The New York Jets have not be able to re-sign Ryan Fitzpatrick to this point and need a quarterback, so the connection there makes plenty of sense.
Then there are the Broncos, who obviously need a quarterback after Brock Osweiler bolted to the Houston Texans for four years and $72 million on Wednesday. Osweiler's departure leaves general manager John Elway without any viable options, and with head coach Gary Kubiak running his rollout offense, Kaepernick would be an intriguing fit.
