MTV unveiled its nominees for the 2016 MTV Movie Awards on Tuesday morning, and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" led with way with 11 nods.

"Deadpool" was second, with eight nominations, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" was behind that fellow superhero movie, named in six categories itself. There were some ties behind "Ultron."

The three aforementioned films will fight it out with "Creed," "Jurassic World" and "Straight Outta Compton" for Movie of the Year.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart will host the 25th anniversary of the cable channel's film awards, which is executive produced by Casey Patterson.
