Naval academy ceremonies are usually solemn celebrations filled with formalities.

But graduates from Norway's Royal Naval School in Stavanger decided to shake things up at their graduation when they broke formation to give a stellar flash mob performance.

The new sailors can be seen executing a well-choreographed routine to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' smash-hit "Uptown Funk" in an impressive YouTube video.

It starts off with the first line of sailors busting a few cool moves and then suddenly the rest of the class can't resist and joins in the fun.

The cadets managed to keep up the energy throughout the 4-minute song and were able to get the crowd to participate in their epic celebration.

Since the video was posted, it has received over 200,000 views on YouTube, so it's safe to assume this graduation will be one for the books!
