Fab or flop: Katy Perry's patriotic pants, Hailee Steinfeld's coat and more
After months of awards show red carpets, stars are ditching their ultra-glammed-up looks for more low-key styles.
It can be tough to look stylish in the cold weather, but Hailee Steinfeld nailed it in a gorgeous Sandro houndstooth jacket (shop similar here) layered over a chic black turtleneck and black skinnies. A dainty silver necklace added a touch of sparkle to the ensemble. Gigi Hadid also nailed casual style in light-washed boyfriend jeans, black booties and a simple white tee. An ankle-length black topcoat elevated her knockout look.

Both Steinfeld and Hadid owe their winning looks to simplicity. But others didn't get the "less is more" memo.
Katy Perry turned heads for all the wrong reasons when she stepped out in a patriotic mess of an outfit. While we give her props for proudly representing her choice for 2016, we could have done without the wild, American flag-adorned jeans. Pro-Hillary or not, we can all agree that there's just way too much going on. The only thing the singer, 31, succeeded in is getting her message out loud and clear!
