Explorer's mummified body found on adrift, battered yacht
The mummified body of a German explorer was found Friday on a battered yacht floating in the waters off the coast of the Philippines.
Fishermen had noticed and approached the vessel.
When they discovered the deceased, they towed the boat to shore.
Shortly after its arrival, authorities investigated and found documents that led them to identify the remains as those of Manfred Fritz Bajorat.
He was found slumped over a desk, and his posture suggests he may have died of a heart attack.
It is unclear at this time how long ago he passed, though one person did report hearing from him via Facebook about a year ago.
