Jennifer Garner nails her first solo Oscar appearance since Ben Affleck split

Jennifer Garner doesn't need to share the spotlight!

The 43-year-old actress hit the Oscars for the first time since splitting with her husband, Ben Affleck, and she showed that looking good is the best revenge. The "Miracles From Heaven" star looked incredible in a black, strapless Versace gown, which had a hint of sparkle on the right side. The gown, which had an asymmetric shape, had a billowing right panel leading to a long train. The back was equally glamorous and had a low V-cut that showed off her fit figure.

She polished off her classic look with a pretty updo and a set of diamond earrings.

It's been a big week for Garner. On Friday, Vanity Fair released an interview with her where she addressed her split from Affleck after nearly 10 years of marriage.

"Let me just tell you something," Garner says. "We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes. It's not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives." Months later, she's still assessing the damage. "I have had to have conversations about the meaning of 'scandal,'" she explained, with her children.

"The main thing is these kids -- and we're completely in line with what we hope for them," Jennifer said during the interview.

And Garner definitely stays true to her word. On Saturday, she was spotted with Affleck at their son, Samuel's, birthday party.
