Your smelly body odor could get you a date
"Smell you later" is no longer just an expression. Taken literally, it could also be the key to finding your soul mate.
Forget Tinder and all those other pesky dating apps, because a new dating service has set out to find you your match using body odor.
For $25, a matchmaking company called Smell Dating will mail you a shirt to wear "hygiene product-free" for three straight days and nights.
When your time's up, you'll return the top. Then you'll get a swatch of t-shirts worn by a select number of other individuals who did the same thing.
If you and someone in that group pick each other based on your aromas, contact info will be provided, and you're free to meet up.
The business, which is actually an artistic project, is based on mating and molecular intuition.
Instead of far-out ideas like love at first sight, Smell Dating relies on those sexy scents you might know as pheromones.
The company doesn't ask users specifics about themselves, so you could be surprised by your potential date's sex or age.
Right now, the project is limited to 100 people.
So for now, you'll have to see if your new beau passes the smell test the old-fashioned way: by talking to them.
