'Mob Wives' star 'Big Ang' dies after battle with cancer
Mob Wives star Angela "Big Ang" Raiola has died, a post on her verified Twitter account announced on Thursday morning.
Vinnie Medugno, on behalf of her family, posted that Raiola "peacefully ended her battle with cancer and was called home" at 3:01 a.m.
Raiola had been battling stage four brain and lung cancer after being diagnosed with throat cancer last year and undergoing several surgeries.
Medugno, who noted that Raiola's Twitter account would remain open "as a celebration of who she was and will always be," said the reality TV star was surrounded by her friends and family members and thanked her fans for supporting her until the end.

"She truly went out richer than any monetary value could ever amount to," Medugno added. "In typical Big Ang fashion, we know she would say, 'Love you my babies!'"
Premature reports of Raiola's death circulated on Wednesday, with several outlets reporting that she had passed away. But her representative told The Hollywood Reporter Wednesday night that she was still alive and took to Twitter to confirm that.
