911 Call Reveals 'Bachelor' Contestant Took Bunch of Pills Before She Died

Former Bachelor contestant Lex McAllister died on Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio after an apparent overdose.

Police say they believe the 31-year-old, who was recently divorced, took her life.

In a 911 call made before her death, a friend tells a dispatcher that the 31-year-old had taken "a bunch of pills."

"Please send someone fast," the friend says. "It doesn't look good."

In 2010, McAllister appeared in season 14 of The Bachelor. She seemed sassy and confidentas she hoped sparks would fly when she met the handsome bachelor pilot Jake Pavelka.

But a love match never happened. McAllister didn't get a rose and she was kicked off the show after the first episode.

Following news of her death, Pavelka tweeted:

McAllister is the second Bachelor contestant from the same season to end her own life. Gia Allemand, who finished in third place, hanged herself in 2013.

McAllister reportedly suffered from bi-polar disorder and depression and was divorced a few years ago.

Dan "Boots" Longenette is a radio talk show host who worked with McAllister.

"If someone bad mouthed her she was devastated," he claims. "She didn't handle criticism well. And if I was to stay what done her in, it was the raw criticism the world put on that poor girl."
