3.1 Phillip Lim - Runway - Fall 2016 New York Fashion Week

If you think you know fall fashion, think again, because the 3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2016 collection just upped the ante in a very big way. You've never seen a collection embody a season the way Lim's does. Autumn quite literally materialized in front of us as we watched the designer's runway show Monday afternoon -- orange, crinkly leaves turned into crumpled velvet ankle boots in a gorgeous shade of burnt sienna; speckled sunlight became metallic pleated skirts. It was magic.

Lim threw in yummy fabrics like velvet, wool and chiffon, and after see how he transformed the classic peacoat you're going to want to throw yours in the trash immediately. We're talking a shift-style, boxy look with enormous empire stitching. Yes yes yes.

Each look was perfect and warm, which was exactly what we needed to see with the New York snow coming down outside. Take a peek through the upcoming collection in the gallery above!
