Republicans On Deck For Presidential Debate



The remaining Republican presidential candidates will face off Saturday night in South Carolina for the CBS News debate as the race for the White House heats up.

The GOP hopefuls taking the stage at the Peace Center in Greenville will be former Governor Jeb Bush, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Ohio Governor John Kasich, Florida Senator Marco Rubio and billionaire businessman Donald Trump.Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore was deemed ineligible to take the debate stage, and announced plans to suspend his campaign earlier this week.

Saturday night's contest will be the first Republican debate since Donald Trump's dominate performance at the New Hampshire primaries.

Kasich will look to capitalize on delivering a surprise second place finish in the Granite State, while Cruz hopes to recapture some of the momentum from his Iowa caucus victory.

Saturday night's debate will air live on CBS starting at 9 p.m., and will also be shown on the network's digital streaming service.
