Upcoming Fox Comedy To Star Courteney Cox


Courteney Cox's latest comedy "Charity Case" has landed a pilot order from Fox.

The single-camera comedy is written by former "The Office" writer-producer Robert Padnick and will be directed by James Griffiths. ABC Studios will co-produce with 20th Century Fox TV.

"Charity Case" tells the story of Hailey (Cox), who when she inherits her late billionaire husband's charity, quickly finds that changing the world is far less glamorous than she had imagined.

Cox, Padnick and Griffiths will executive produce.

The show marks Cox's return to broadcast television following her hit "Cougar Town," which aired on ABC then TBS from 2009 to 2015.

Cox is best known for her roles on "Friends," she recently wrapped big screen feature "Mother's Day" and made her directorial debut on indie drama "Just Before I Go."
