Ben Carson Might Consider Being Donald Trump's Running Mate

Ben Carson indicated that he's open to serving as vice president under Donald Trump.

During an interview with Fox Business Network on Tuesday, host Neil Cavuto asked the retired neurosurgeon if he would "be ever open to a VP spot?"

"I would have to have major philosophical alignment with whoever it was," Carson said. "I would have to have guarantees that I could do some substantial things."

Pressed on whether he'd be open to being Trump's VP, Carson replied, "I certainly would sit down and discuss it."

Cavuto also asked Carson which candidate he wouldn't run with. But Carson deflected.

"Rather than get into that, let's say as long as there is significant philosophical alignment, I wouldn't have any problem," he said.

Carson also addressed traffic jam he caused during the candidates' introduction at the beginning go Saturday night's debate.

"They didn't have speakers in the back," Carson said. "If there was a lot of applause going on out front you wouldn't be able to hear that."
