Man arrested for trying to sell drugs in court
Most people wouldn't think about committing a crime in a courtroom, but one Pennsylvania man was caught trying to do just that.
On Monday, 35-year-old Christopher Durkin appeared in a Pittsburgh court to face a driving-related charge.
The Allegheny County Sheriff's department has said that, after his time with the judge, he was caught talking to someone in the seating area and was asked to leave.
That person then told the officer that Durkin, whom he did not know, had offered to sell him Suboxone which is intended to ease opiate withdrawals.
Durkin was then located and found to be carrying two unit doses of the prescription medicine.
He was subsequently arrested on three counts of drug-related charges and taken to jail.
