9-Year-Old On Mission To Collect And Donate 1,000 Barbies To Homeless Girls

Many young girls are huge fans of Barbie, and it's the belief of 9-year-old Gianni Graham that those who want one should have one, regardless of their financial situation.

Thus, the Norfolk, Virginia resident is on a mission to collect and donate 1,000 brand new Barbies.

The intended recipients are homeless girls.

Though Gianni started her drive with only 5 dolls, she now has roughly 700.

There's still a long road ahead before the goal is hit, but there are many other related matters keeping the Graham family busy.

Gianni intends to wrap each doll, complete with a handwritten, uplifting note.

She and her mother are also hard at work calling charities and shelters to make sure they're distributed in the best way possible.

Donation information and progress reports are available on both the 1K Barbies for 1K Girls website and Facebook page.
