Bride misplaces wedding photos in bar, staff helps locate them
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WXMI) -- The search for a pair of newlyweds in West Michigan is over.
Michael Taylor, a bartender at 'The Meanwhile' in Grand Rapids says he found a flash drive on the ground a few weeks ago while sweeping up before closing the bar.
He set it to the side for awhile, assuming the owner would come back to get it. After awhile, he decided to plug it in and found more than 200 wedding photos. He says he knew right away that he had to find the owners.
After posting the story on Facebook, viewers got us in touch with the photographer's website, which then led us to Jeremy Akins and his wife, Kate. They are from Interlochen and got married this past August in Frankfort, Michigan.
Jeremy tells FOX 17 that his wife was recently in Grand Rapids and she lost the drive while here. He was very thankful that Michael found it and saved it.
We are mailing the flash drive back to the couple.
